This is a collection of Aesop's fables, translated into Urdu. Aesop, a slave and storyteller, is believed to have lived in ancient Greece between 620 and 564 BCE. Of diverse origins, the stories associated with his name have descended to modern times through a number of sources and continue to be a source of fascination for the young and old alike. Each story includes a moral at the end, which summarizes the lesson that is to be learnt in each story.
