Tareekhi Kahanian is a set of stories about three prominent rulers of medieval India: Ameer Nasiruddin Subaktageen, Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavi and Mughal king Zaheeruddin Babur.
Written by renowned author Mohammad Hussain Azad (1830–1910), the stories provide glimpses into political and cultural life of that era. Readers are also introduced to the classical Urdu language of the 19th century.
The book contains a glossary of terms at the end, which is a useful recap of new vocabulary introduced in the book.
